Embedded VISION Europe 2019
Conference Programme Is Online
After the very successful debut in 2017 with more than 200 attendees, the 2nd edition of Embedded VISION Europe will take place 24-25 October in Stuttgart, Germany.
Event organiser EMVA supported by Messe Stuttgart just recently published the again highly attractive Conference Programme.
The impressive list of EVE-2019 Speakers includes embedded vision professionals like keynote speaker David Austin, Senior Principal Engineer at Intel Corp., Neil Trevett, Vice President Developer Ecosystems at NVIDIA, Jagan Ayyaswami, Sr. Director of Mobile Architecture and Systems at Micron Technology or Takashi Someda, CTO at Hacarus Inc.

Effective from July 15th, Jürgen Hillmann is the new Managing Director of XIMEA GmbH. He takes over the office from Dr. Vasant Desai, who remains CEO of the company. Furthermore, procuration was confered on Michael Cmok, the Technical Sales Director of XIMEA.

Change of shareholder at SVS-Vistek GmbH
On 31 July the purchase agreement for the 100% takeover of the shares of SVS-Vistek GmbH was signed by the TKH Group. We, the SVS-Vistek GmbH team, see the handover to the “TKH” as paving the way for a positive future with extended possibilities.
All business activities will continue unchanged. Commercial and contractual agreements as well as obligations remain unchanged and in force. The acquisition of the shares in SVS-Vistek GmbH is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2019. Read more ›

Out now: First Alvium camera series models
The first series models of the Alvium camera series powered by ALVIUM® Technology from Allied Vision are available. Allied Vision starts the camera series with the release of three 1500 series models with a MIPI CSI-2 interface and one 1800 series model with USB3 Vision interface. To coincide with the launch of the release, the new production facility, specially designed and built for Alvium production, was inaugurated in Stadtroda on June 21st. Debut of NVIDIA-Powered CoaXPress Embedded Vision Solution
BitFlow, Inc. underscored its commitment to embedded vision by demonstrating a high-speed CoaXPress-NVIDIA® embedded imaging system at the recent Laser World of Photonics Show in Munich, Germany.
This Small Form Factor (SFF) solution was engineered with lower hardware requirements so it can reside in compact devices or be integrated directly into a larger mechanical or electrical system, all while minimizing space, cost and energy consumption.

JAI adds 4 more microscopy cameras offering enhanced suppression of dust/FODs
JAI has announced the availability of four new 3-CMOS prism color cameras designed for use in microscopy-based systems where maximum control of dust, lint, and other foreign object debris particles (FODs) in the optical path is critical.
The new Apex Series AP-3200T-USB-LSX is a 3.2-megapixel, 38.3 fps camera featuring three prism-mounted Sony IMX265 CMOS imagers. The AP-1600T-USB-LSX is a 1.6-megapixel camera with three IMX273 CMOS imagers and a full-resolution frame rate of 79 fps. Both models feature USB3 Vision interfaces, whose combination of bandwidth and easy plug-and-play compatibility have made it a widely-used choice for microscopy systems. Read more ›

Adds 3rd Gen Sony Pregius IMX429 and IMX428 CMOS to Triton Camera Series
LUCID Vision Labs announced the addition of the 3rd generation Sony Pregius 2.8 MP and 7.1 MP global shutter CMOS image sensors to its Triton GigE Vision camera series.
Featuring the Sony IMX429 and IMX428 sensors, the new 2.8 MP and 7.1 MP Triton camera models have now entered series production. The larger 4.5 μm pixel size offers a high saturation capacity of 25,000e-, low read noise of 2.5e- and a wider dynamic range of 76 dB compared to the 2nd generation Sony Pregius sensors, enabling a superior image acquisition under low light conditions. Teledyne DALSA announced the introduction of Shape Extraction to its Sherlock 7 vision software platform. This feature offers a robust solution to the ever-increasing demands of the machine vision industry.

Foundation of Carrida Technologies
The German embedded vision expert Vision Components and its Austrian partner SL Solutions have founded Carrida Technologies GmbH to further develop vehicle and number plate recognition. The joint venture is headed by two experienced managers, Jan-Erik Schmitt, vice president of sales at Vision Components GmbH, and Oliver Sidla, founder and managing director of SL Solutions GmbH. Jan-Erik Schmitt is responsible for European sales at Carrida Technologies and oversees international sales together with Endre Tóth. Read more ›
