EMVA mourns the loss of Ernst Rauscher

Ernst Rauscher, company founder, partner and managing director of RAUSCHER GmbH, passed away on November 5th after several months of serious illness at the age of 74.

Ernst Rauscher founded the company situated in Munich, Germany, in 1984 and continuously expanded it over the past four decades. With his innovative strength, his tireless personal commitment and his innate sense for technologies and markets, he was not only one of the pioneers in the vision industry, he also made RAUSCHER GmbH one of the most successful technology providers in image processing in Germany and the German speaking regions.

EMVA management and board mourns the loss of a true pioneer in the vision industry, a founding EMVA member, and a great supporter of the EMVA since its inauguration in May 2003.

Ernst Rauscher loved to meet with the vision community. He did not miss a single annual EMVA Business Conference from the first meeting in Barcelona 2003 to the most recent event in Copenhagen 2019. In countless networking events and evening sessions he inspired younger vision professionals and newcomers with his enthusiasm, experience, humor and the outstanding ability to enjoy the moment.

For the EMVA family Ernst was much more than a successful professional and respected businessman. He will be well remembered as the cheerful and optimistic person by everybody who had the pleasure to have spent time with him. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and the entire Rauscher team at this time of sorrow.
