EMVA Business Conference
EMVA Conference in Rome with all-time-high in networking meetings!

The EMVA Business Conference in Rome again marked a highlight for the machine vision industry in terms of high-level networking, information and atmosphere. A record of 170+ individual B2B-meetings were booked in advance amongst the 105 mostly C-level conference delegates.

The conference program represented the current technical and economic discussions in the industry. In terms of technology, trend topics ranging from industrial CT, Industrial & Scientific FT Spectral Imaging, and the future of vision sensing technology were presented in the talks; while other speakers highlighted vision-tech applications in the specific vertical sectors railway, defense; as well as in the food industry.
In addition, the winner of the EMVA Young Professional Award 2025 was very well recognized with his presentation of the awarded research work titled ‘High-fidelity 3D Hand Modelling, Detection and Reconstruction in world-coordinates‘.

Economically, the uncertainties in the global trade framework headed by the currently erratic US tariffs policy were discussed in the opening keynote talk and in a quite frankly held panel discussion headlined ‘De-globalization – Managing the Change‘. Naturally this was also one main topic in many of the discussions during the conference breaks and the two evening events.

Finally, during a surprisingly interactive and engaging session the closing keynote speaker successfully provided strategies to strengthen the individual resilience towards the challenging times we currently live in.
