EMVA Young Professional Award 2016
The EMVA Young Professional Award is an annual award to honor the outstanding and innovative work of a student or a young professional in the field of machine vision or image processing.
With our award we would like to specifically encourage students and young scientists from European institutions to focus on challenges in the field of machine vision and to apply latest research results and findings in computer vision to the practical needs of our industry.

The winner of the award will be announced during the 14th EMVA BusinessConference 2016 taking place June 9-11 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

New EMVA initiative: European Machine Vision Forum
EMVA’s brand new annual two-day event, where machine vision industry and academic research meet to learn from each other, get an understanding of the newest research results, of open problems from applications, learn about new and emerging application fields, and to discuss new research cooperation between industry and academics. The first forum will take place from Thursday, September 8 to Friday, September 9, 2016, at Heidelberg University, Germany, and focus on image processing algorithms – from low level to deep learning.
