Dear ,

Welcome to the EMVA newsletter! Each month it provides hands-on information on machine vision in Europe and the world. Find out about the latest projects of the EMVA, innovative products, what’s going on in the machine vision industry and interesting events.

EMVA Season’s Greetings

With 2018 again a very successful year for our industry is getting to its end. The record numbers of the VISION 2018 trade show which took place early November might serve as evidence for the positive development. And EMVA’s quarterly sales surveys point in the same direction; after having evaluated the first three quarters the machine vision sales in Europe might achieve a two-digit growth percentage in 2018.

On the other hand the outlook to the next year continiously gets more difficult as the global conditions for free trade might change significantly. And also within the European Union several topics like e.g. the ‘Brexit’ are not solved yet.

Despite of all those uncertainties we believe in our industry’s unbroken growth potential. Fascinating technology trends are under way and the need for machine vision products and services will further increase.

In the same way the EMVA looks forward to an exciting year 2019, driving forward already established as well as new Standards and offering several attractive events to the vision community and the users of our technology:

  • Control Vision Talks in Stuttgart, Germany
  • EMVA Business Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark
  • European Machine Vision Forum in Lyon, France
  • Embedded VISION Europe in Stuttgart, Germany.

We hope to meet you and your colleagues at our highlight events throughout the year.

On behalf of the EMVA Board of Directors and the whole EMVA team I wish you and your family peaceful holidays and a prosperous New Year.

Thomas Lübkemeier
Kind regards,
Thomas Lübkemeier
EMVA General Secretary

SILICON SOFTWARE
MultiChannel2Go with Exact Timing

ImageMultiChannel2Go is a ready-to-go, compact and portable image processing system from MSTVision with VisualApplets programmed application that acquires images with different illuminations as separate events in a single pass.

This technology can be readily expanded to several cameras to increase inspection width. Especially unique to this solution are interchangeable standard components and preconfigured, easily parametrized software. Complex multichannel applications such as radiometric stereo (shape from shading) and multispectral imaging can thus be realized quickly and cost effectively.
