EMVA Business Conference
Last Seats Available – Get Yours Now!

The opportunity to meet with machine vision leaders and enjoy efficiently organised networking as well as comprehensive conference presentations will close soon.

Around 110 vision professionals have registered for the 23rd edition of the annual EMVA Business Conference, this year taking place 22-24 May in Rome, Italy.
Despite the EMVA event team still having conference capacity at hand – last seats are still available – and very much looks forward to welcome every interested attendee, the window to join-in probably will close soon.
The Eternal City these days awaits the election and announcement of the new Pope and this situation puts a lot of pressure on travel arangements like eg. flight connections to Rome.
To become part of this extraordinary conference event in 2025 the decision to register should be taken without any further delay!

Interview Series ‘Faces of Machine Vision Standards’
The EMVA talked with Simon Wölzmüller

What drives vision specialists to join Standard working groups?
Why do companies support active contribution to Standard development?

Continuing its interview series the EMVA this time asked Mr. Simon Wölzmüller, Deputy Team Manager Software Development & Research at STEMMER IMAGING AG, about his motivation to join the work on standardisation.

IAs a comparably inexperienced developer in our company, I started learning from very active members of the standards working group six years ago. The deeper I understood our in-house machine vision SDK (Common Vision Blox), its architecture and its interaction with manufacturers’ hardware; the more I realized the importance and the benefit of standardized interfaces and communication protocols. Naturally, the expectations …. Read more ›

EDMUND OPTICS
Mini Free-Space Optical Isolators for Compact, High-Performance Laser Systems

Edmund Optics® announces the release of its new Mini Free-Space Optical Isolators, offering powerful laser protection in an exceptionally compact footprint. Engineered for applications where space, weight, and power (SWaP) are limited, these isolators are ideal for ultrafast and continuous-wave lasers in aerospace, quantum, or research systems.
At just ~Ø10mm x 10.5mm in size, these miniature isolators deliver high isolation without compromising forward transmission – helping maintain laser stability by blocking disruptive back-reflected light. This ensures clean mode-locking, reduced jitter, and consistent power output, even in the most space-constrained environments.
