Program and Speakers Are Getting Announced

The EMVA Business Conference Special Edition 2021 will take place 10-11 June 2021 in an online event format.

EMVA’s event team has recently started to publish details of its annual highlight conference and networking event by announcing SPEAKERS and AGENDA. The program is composed by:

EMVA1288 Hands-On Online Training – New Release 4.0

Be among the first to learn about the exiting extensions that have been added to the new EMVA 1288 Standard, Release 4.0.

The EMVA 1288 standard, release 4.0 takes the rapid development of the camera and image sensor technology into account. In fact, until Release 3.1, the application of the EMVA 1288 standard with a simple linear model was limited to cameras with a linear curve and without any pre-processing.

PCO partners with Swiss company for lossless image compression
As a manufacturer of high-end camera systems PCO in its research for new ways of compressing image data met Dotphoton, a Swiss startup specializing in image compression for critical applications and AI.

Dotphoton’s Jetraw software starts before the image is created and uses the information of the image sensor’s noise performance to efficiently compress the image data. The parameters required in Dotphoton’s software largely correspond to the measurement data required for the EMVA 1288 standard of which PCO is a long-term supporter.

New camera delivers 26-megapixel images at 150 fps Headline

AI has introduced the Spark Series SP-25000-CXP4A, a new 26-megapixel high performance industrial area scan camera capable of providing full resolution images at 150 frames per second. The new camera is available in monochrome and Bayer color versions which are equipped with four-channel CoaXPress v2.0 interfaces capable of providing data transfer at the fastest rate currently supported by the CoaXPress standard – 12.5 Gbps per lane (50 Gbps total). KOWA – New Large Format Lenses
Kowa introduces a new 50MP lens series for sensors up to a diameter of 32mm. The VM series can be used with sensors down to a pixel size of 3.1µm. This makes it suitable for sensors such as Sony IMX342, CMOSIS CMV12000, CMV20000 and CMV50000.

The lenses are ideal for applications such as line scan, flat panel display inspection and aerial photography.

The series is offered with M42-mount and TFL-mount (M35-Mount). Different flange back adapters are available for the M42 version. Read more ›

OpenEB, the industry’s largest open-source Event-Based Vision software library

Prophesee announced the release of OpenEB, a set of key open-source software modules and a set of new Event-Based Machine Learning solutions that are aimed at optimizing ML training and inference for event-based applications, including optical flow and object detection. In addition, the company is offering the industry’s largest HD Event-Based dataset to developers as a free download.

This latest release of the company’s Metavision® Intelligence Suite also adds an expanded set of development tools and software for designing industrial vision systems that leverage the performance and efficiency of Event-Based Vision. Read more ›
