International Vision Night 2016

After a very successful and well attended EMVA Business Conference in Edinburgh in June today we are looking forward to another event highlight this year. 08-10 November 2016 the VISION, leading world trade fair for machine vision, will be back in Stuttgart after one year of absence.

The EMVA is pleased to organize the popular International Vision Night event on the evening before the trade show starts. In good tradition – it will be the 11thVision Night – the machine vision community will meet for a pleasant evening in a casual setting.

International Vision Standards Booth

The EMVA exhibits at VISION 2016 as leading organizer at the International Machine Vision Standards Booth. In Hall 1, stand B11 machine vision experts present the most commonly used digital interface standards in the industry in their current versions and stand by for advice on which standard should be used best for a certain application.

This year, the 10th anniversary of GenICam is celebrated at the booth commonly hosted by EMVA, AIA, VDMA and Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA). The standard which is hosted by the EMVA provides a generic programming interface for all kinds of cameras and devices. It provides a standard application programming interface (API), no matter what interface technology is being used. By using the GenICam API, a user has the freedom to select the camera and interface technology that fits best with his requirements without the need of changes in his application software.

In addition, exhibitors and visitors alike are invited to finish the first two show days with an  happy hour at 4.00 pm each at booth B11 in hall 1 on the International Machine Vision Standards booth.

The networking get-together on Tuesday 8 November is edmund-optics-worldwide_color
supported by the EMVA member Edmund Optics GmbH.

On Wednesday 9 November (4 – 5pm) we will celebrate “10 Years GenICam”.
The event is supported by Basler AG, one of the main drivers and long years contributor
to the development of GenICam.

VISION is the world’s leading trade fair for machine vision. The who’s who in the machine vision industry meets in Stuttgart and presents an incomparable range of products and services: from sensors to processors, from cables to cameras, from software to illumination systems. However, complete machine vision systems and very specific applications for many different industries are exhibited – from mechanical engineering and the automotive industry through to the medical technology industry and many, many more industries besides. We take account of the diverse interests of visitors through special event modules such as the Integration Area and the Industrial VISION days forum.
