The throughput achieved by CEI’s 25M BitMaxx cable compared very favourably with standard length benchmark cables. XIMEA USB 3.0 cameras have proven to be highly compatible as they worked with shorter and longer CEI cables. Read on…

New FRAMOS VLG Feature – Bulge Measurement to Streamline Automated Logistic Chains

For Food Distribution, bulge and shape inspection is an important feature in automated storage and handling systems for all types of cartons in industrial logistic processes and Stock Keeping Units (SKU’s). As a quality check it is essential to automatically recognise damaged cartons and SKUs before they enter the automatic storage system (inbound) or before they are shipped to the customer (outbound).

The FRAMOS Volume Light Grid (VLG) is a robust “plug & play” volume and dimensional measurement system for the logistics industry. The system is now available with a bulge measurement feature to ascertain the size of carton bulges without necessarily knowing the original carton size. By measuring the carton edges the VLG identifies any differences as a defect or bulge. Read on…

JAI has introduced four new prism-based color line
scan cameras with high-end image quality

COPENHAGEN – August 18, 2015 – JAI has introduced four new prism-based color line scan cameras in the company’s Sweep+ Series, featuring 2048 pixels, scan rates up to 80,000 lines/s and high-end color image quality.
Based on a combination of JAI’s well-known prism technology, a specially optimized JAI lens and CMOS sensors with large 20 µm x 20 µm pixels, the four new color line scan cameras deliver high-end color reproduction, RGB color alignment, edge sharpness and  outstanding signal-to-noise ratios.. at World Championship

A vision system using Allied Vision Mako cameras suspended
high above the pool captures and analyzes extremely precise
images of each stroke of each swimmer in near real time.
The FINA 2013 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona, Spain was the stage for both the world’s elite swimmers and an elite image processing system — InThePool 2.0. The system uses Allied Vision’s Mako G-125C camera to capture and analyze extremely precise images of each athlete’s swim down to a specific stroke in near real time. Read on…
