5th EMVA Conference in Lyon Unites 19 Nations
The 5th European Machine Vision Business Conference took place in the French city of Lyon on June 15th and 16th, 2007. With more than 150 participants from 19 countries the EMVA Conference once again reached a record number of attendees. The following countries were represented and made it a truly international event: Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Slovenia, Turkey, UK and USA. Thanks to an intensive cooperation with Club Vision of Symop (the French national machine vision association and EMVA member) major players in the French market were present as well. Throughout the event, attendees benefited from ample networking opportunities, one of the primary goals of the conference. Also the city of Lyon welcomed the EMVA Conference 2007 in the beautiful historical City Hall of Lyon for a get-together that started the conference. Four different sessions focused on machine vision in France, technology and business trends as well as machine vision markets. Attendees received first-hand information on vision markets in France, Japan, China and Europe - all of it novel and previously unpublished. EMVA continues its dynamic growth course and currently has 97 members from 19 nations. Two new countries - Israel and Turkey - are now additionally represented in the EMVA. The EMVA welcomed three new members during the conference: Infaimon S.L. (Spain), Univision s.r.l. (Italy) and EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH (Germany).
The next EMVA Conference will be held on April 11th and 12th, 2008 in Berlin, Germany. Another major EMVA networking event will take place in Stuttgart on the night before the start of the VISION 2007: The 4th International Vision Night on 5th November, 2007. More information will be available soon at: www.emva.org.
