6th EMVA Conference in Berlin reaches record level of attendance - Cor Maas member of EMVA Executive Committee

The 6th European Machine Vision Business Conference took place in the German capital of Berlin on April 11th and 12th, 2008. With more than 170 participants from 20 countries the EMVA Conference once again drew a record number of attendees. The following countries were represented and made it a truly international event: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Slovenia, Turkey, UK and USA. Throughout the conference attendees benefited from ample networking opportunities, one of the primary goals of the conference. Four different sessions focused on machine vision in Germany, technology and business trends as well as machine vision markets. Attendees received first-hand information on vision markets in Germany, Italy and Israel - all of it novel and not previously presented.

At the EMVA General Assembly, Cor Maas, co-founder and president of LMI Technologies Inc. was introduced as a new member of the EMVA Executive Committee. He follows Martin Wäny, CEO of AWAIBA Lda., who had resigned from the Executive Committee due to personal reasons. The next elections for the EMVA Executive Committee will take place at the EMVA Conference in Dublin, Ireland, in 2009.
