Sony makes new commitment to Eastern Europe

Sony Europe's Image Sensing Solutions (ISS) Division is extending its commitment to Eastern Europe with the announcement of a new network of distributors across the region.

Backed by the company's established European application support centre, the network will bring the benefits of its camera technology to original equipment manufacturers and system integrators in a range of applications - as diverse as security and closed circuit television, low-light vision, and medical and traffic monitoring.

"Eastern Europe represents a significant growth opportunity for Sony ISS and this is a strategic commitment to build close, lasting relationships with both partners and customers," said Gary Quinn, senior manager for the region.

"We have market-leading products and extensive experience in all aspects of image and video acquisition. Our aim is to build a network of trusted partners that can bring these benefits to a growing and dynamic market."

Sony ISS's new Eastern European distributor network already includes partners in several territories, including Business Media, based in Moscow, Russia; Tayama, which is located in Katowice, Poland; Elvia, in Prague, Czech Republic; and Mitax in Budapest, Hungary.
