PCI Express frame grabber is designed for use with CameraLink cameras
Germany's Matrix Vision GmbH says that the introduction of its mvHYERPION-CLf card extends its PCI Express (PCIe) family by adding a frame grabber for CameraLink cameras to its product portfolio.
The PCIe x4 interface offers the necessary bandwidth for transferring images, and makes it possible to operate one CameraLink camera in 'full', 'medium' or 'base' configuration. A data rate up to 1 GB/s is achievable.
The mvHYPERION-CLf is suitable for use in a multitude of image- acquisition and image-processing applications in industry and scientific fields. The frame grabber features two Mini CameraLink, or MiniCL, connectors for camera control; opto-isolated I/Os, for trigger and flash control; and a camera power supply. Alternatively, it is possible to supply power to the cameras via a power over CameraLink connection.
The company is also offering the mvHYPERION-CLm, which has the same features as the mvHYPERION-CLf, but instead it is possible to connect either two CameraLink cameras in a 'base' configuration or one CameraLink camera in a 'medium' configuration.
Drivers for 32-bit/64-bit Linux and 32-bit/64-bit Windows Vista are available (mvIMPACT Acquire).
