ISRA VISION Transforming Growth Dynamics into a New Organizational Structure
The European machine vision market leader, ISRA VISION, focusing on a clear growth target: 100+. In order to exceed targeted sales figures of 100 million by 2012 at the very latest, the Group is making adjustments to its organization that will allow it to adapt to its dynamic expansion. The division Industrial Automation is to be restructured and the key positions will be filled by managers with a history of success in this area.
For the last ten years, ISRA has been undergoing strong growth. During the last fiscal year, the Group reported sales volume in excess of 50 million euros. Sales are projected to double by 2012 at the very lat-est. ISRA has restructured its Industrial Automation division so as to assure that its organization is always geared towards the needs of its customers while the Group is adjusting to its dynamic growth.
The newly organized structure will focus on increasing the efficiency of its sales and services departments. With the idea of enhancing the benefit to the customer, the Group will place strong emphasis on making use of synergies by pooling the strengths of similar activities and creating new powerful units in the process. The restructuring plans involve renaming the "Integrated Systems" business unit into "General Industries", which will merge operations of Robot Vision, Components, OEM Business and Quality Vision into one. "Food & Packaging", Automotive and Metronom Automation GmbH, which was acquired at the beginning of the fiscal year, will be integrated to form the division Industrial Automation, each as separate business units.
The executive positions will be filled by managers whose efforts in the past proved to be a great contribution to the success of the Group. Executive officer Hans Jürgen Christ, who played a major role in structuring the division Industrial Automation and whose input was critical in stimulating its expansion, will in future focus his concentrated efforts at the ISRA Group on the Surface Vision division.
New Management Team
Holger Hofmann, who was successful in expanding the business unit "Integrated Systems", was assigned head of the division "Industrial Automation". Robert Werny, who over the last eight years played a significant role in the success of the business unit "Automotive", will now assume responsibility for this division. Moreover, Holger Wirth, for many years general manager of Metronom, will continue to be the person in charge of the strategic organization of all concerns relating to measuring technology and automation. The automotive business of Metronom will be incorporated into the business unit Automotive.
"By newly structuring our organization, our intention is to provide our customers the opportunity to be given even more access to the broad range of expertise the ISRA units have to offer and to substantially benefit as a result. Our customers always take center stage in all of our growth efforts", so the comment by Enis Ersü, Chairman of the Board at ISRA VISION AG on the new organizational structure.
