Gigabit Ethernet cameras extend Kappa Opto-Electronics' product range
Kappa Opto-Electronics GmbH of Gleichen, Germany, has extended its product range with the addition of Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) cameras.
The Kappa GigE cameras are available with various sensors - in colour, monochrome or cooled versions, with a megapixel resolution, frame rates up to 30/90 fps, 'short trigger delay', and can be used with a cable (CAT5E) that is up to 100 m (330 ft) long.
Special Kappa features, such as on-board colour processing and internal signature creation, are also available for the GigE camera range, says the firm. The cooled version also features a 'slow scan' mode (67 dB).
The Kappa software pool offers three different tools - the camera control software KCC, the software development kit (SDK3) for integrating systems with third-party software applications, and the application software KIB for measurement tasks.
According to the company, the cameras are suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including machine vision, and the visual inspection of electronic components, foodstuffs and packaging.
