Management change at Laser 2000
Stefan Neumair, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Laser 2000 GmbH in Germany, has taken over the management of French sister company Laser 2000 SAS. Dr Andreas Hornsteiner has also been appointed Divisional Manager of Sales and Marketing in France.
Stefan Neumair is replacing Jean-Pierre Durand - the firm's long-standing Managing Director - who is retiring from the group. He will continue to serve the firm, which specialises in optical components and systems, as a consultant. Neumair has successfully managed the operations in Germany for 14 years. This solid track record will guarantee the continuous stable growth and financial security of Laser 2000 on the French market. Dr Hornsteiner has been responsible for the network and LWL division at Laser 2000 Germany since 1997. The company says that marketing activities will, in future, be planned and implemented mutually.
Laser 2000 was founded in Munich, Germany, during 1986 by Armin Luft. The company was established to offer customers (from a single source) the most innovative 'optical technology' products developed by leading providers around the world. Laser 2000 has been serving European research laboratories and industries involved in photonics for more than 20 years, and has extended its sales force across Europe, creating sister companies in the UK, France the Benelux countries, Spain and Sweden.
Laser 2000 is exhibiting at VISION 2008 (stand 4C11), which is being held in Stuttgart, Germany, on November 4-6, 2008.
