Allied Vision Technologies and OpteamX sign distribution contract
Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) GmbH of Stadtroda, Germany and Israeli firm OpteamX Ltd have signed a distribution contract.
Under the agreement, OpteamX has been granted exclusive rights to distribute AVT digital cameras in Israel. OpteamX, a major supplier of machine-vision components and products, based in Azor near Tel Aviv, has been selling Prosilica cameras since 2006.
As a result of AVT's acquisition of Prosilica during July 2008 OpteamX will now offer the German firm's entire range of products, including both AVT FireWire and Prosilica GigE Vision cameras.
"OpteamX has performed very well as a Prosilica distributor in the past, so it was a natural move to expand the distribution agreement to cover the whole AVT portfolio as part of the consolidation of our sales channels," explained Jochen Braun, Director of International Sales for Allied Vision Technologies.
"We are convinced that OpteamX will help us increase our business by offering Israeli customers state-of-the-art service and support."
Maya Fryszer, Chief Executive Officer of OpteamX, added: "We are delighted to gain Allied Vision Technologies as a partner for high-quality machine-vision cameras. With AVT and Prosilica, we can now offer the best of both leading camera interfaces - FireWire and GigE - to the Israeli market."
