Dear …,

Welcome to the EMVA newsletter! Each month it provides hands-on information on machine vision in Europe and the world. Find out about the latest projects of the EMVA, innovative products, what’s going on in the machine vision industry and interesting events.

EMVA Season’s Greetings

The year 2016 surely will be remembered for some quite surprising decisions in the political field like the ‘Brexit’ and the US presidency elections. The future has to show how deep the impact on European economies and our industry will be.
With the EMVA Business Conference 2016 taking place in Edinburgh more than 115 attendees were as close as possible to one of the political hotspots.
And the most recent EMVA country report on the UK vision market just perfectly matched..

The EMVA website has been developed further e.g. with the new white paper series on ‘Vision Fundamentals’. Also the Buyer’s Guide function has been introduced giving website visitors the tool to search for EMVA members by products and/or services.

EMVA events are setting benchmarks in take-home-value and networking. In 2017 we will continue to offer a wide range of attractive events to the vision community and the users of our technology:

We look forward to meet you and your colleagues at one or more of these highlight events throughout the year.

On behalf of the EMVA Board of Directors and the whole EMVA team I wish you and your family peaceful holidays and a prosperous New Year.

Thomas Lübkemeier
Kind regards,
Thomas Lübkemeier
EMVA General Secretary

Image Getting the right quality control information can make the difference between a streamlined, cost-effective production line and an inefficient and costly one. For example, with certain types of connectors, a pin ensures that the connector doesn’t disengage from its socket. A connector with a flawed or missing pin could disengage from its socket, with potentially serious results. Defective connectors have to be rejected on the production line.
