Task
Full process capacity in industrial production can only be realized with a 100% final inspection. In many cases the final inspections are carried out manually, with visual checks carried out by workers. However, there are problems associated with this such as tiredness of the human eye, false rejections and inconsistent test results. A reliable and efficient machine vision system from VITRONIC delivers quickly documented inspection results: VINSPEC
Implementation
VINSPEC, a machine vision solution from VITRONIC, inspects the surfaces and contours of visible-, sealing- and functional surfaces on both flat and curved components. The quick and reliable high-resolution surface- and line cameras can detect errors such as scratches, tears, indentations, blisters, pores, chips, cavities and process errors on edges. Even highly-complex and demanding visual checks can be performed by VITRONIC’s system.
Practical Applications
•Cavity and contour inspection on the sealed surfaces of cylinder heads, engine blocks and other motor components
•Surface inspection and quality management of rear-view mirrors
•Inspection of finely pressed components
•Interior visual checks on valve housings and fixtures
•Surface inspection of ceramic sheets
•Surface inspection of glass insulators for airbag fuses
•Surface and dimensional accuracy checks on solar cells, wafer and solar modules
•Quality inspection (2D and 3D) on connecting rods
