Control Engineering editorial magazines Poland and Engineering and Maintenance of Industrial have announced the results of the "Product of the Year 2010".
Ceremony and the award ceremony statuettes and diplomas, "Product of the Year 2010" monthlies Control Engineering Poland and Engineering and Maintenance of Industrial Companies held on 17 March in the Palace Staszica (head of the Polish Academy of Sciences) in Warsaw. The meeting was attended by the heads of the awarded companies, representatives of promotional agencies, including visitors from abroad.
Product of the Year competition was organized in 2010 was the release of TMI Poland - publisher of magazines and Engineering Poland Control Engineering and Maintenance of Industrial and portal MSI Poland. The purpose of the annual competition is to promote facilities and technical solutions applicable in the industry (and particularly in industrial plants), for the production, organization and optimization. The competition is open to all products, domestic and foreign, that have appeared on the Polish market in the competition announcement.
This year, the products were evaluated by a specially appointed jury consisting of experts from well-known scientific and technical centers in Poland. Were invited to the jury:
- dr. Michael Bartyś - Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Mechatronics, (former Department of Precision Engineering)
- MSc. Andrew Dudek - Graduate Institute of Oil and Gas Geology, Bucharest (1970), a specialty - the technology of crude oil. Since 1999, the president of the company founded by their TOP OIL - first in Poland, an independent company dealing with oil service, consulting and training in this subject (TOP OIL is a partner company's franchise NORIA - leading service company in the U.S., so you have access to cutting-edge global solutions in this field.)
- dr. Paul Dworak - Assistant Professor, West University of Szczecin (formerly University of Technology), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Industrial Automation and Robotics
- MSc. Arkadiusz Gola - researcher and professor in the Department of the Technical University of Lublin
- dr. Marek Olesz - University of Technology, Department of Electrical and Control Engineering, Department of High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Apparatus
- dr. Andrew Ożadowicz - Assistant Professor, University of Mining and Metallurgy (AGH) in Cracow, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics, Department of Automation and Drives Industrial Equipment
- dr. Chris Pietrusewicz - Assistant Professor, West University of Szczecin (formerly University of Technology), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Industrial Automation and Robotics
- MSc. Luke Urbanski - The West University of Szczecin (formerly University of Technology), Faculty of Electrical Engineering
Reported products were evaluated by a jury according to the following criteria:
- innovation
- usefulness in practice
- ease of use
- potential economic and non-economic gains associated with the use of the product
